Harry Potter and the Cursed Child London

Based on an original, new story by J.K. RowlingJack Thorne and John TiffanyHarry Potter And The Cursed Child is a new play by Jack Thorne.

Produced by Sonia Friedman ProductionsColin Callender’s Playground Entertainment and Harry Potter Theatrical Productions.

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, will be directed by John Tiffany with movement by Steven Hoggett, set designs by Christine Jones, costumes by Katrina Lindsay, lighting by Neil Austin, music by Imogen Heap, sound by Gareth Fry and special effects by Jeremy Chernick.

It was always difficult being Harry Potter and it isn’t much easier now that he is an overworked employee of the Ministry of Magic, a husband and father of three school-age children. While Harry grapples with a past that refuses to stay where it belongs, his youngest son Albus must struggle with the weight of a family legacy he never wanted. As past and present fuse ominously, both father and son learn the uncomfortable truth: sometimes, darkness comes from unexpected places.

For many hardcore Harry Potter fans, seven books and eight films were simply not enough. After the conclusion of The Deathly Hallows, a lot of readers were left with Post Potter Depression. But muggles need not suffer any more thanks to Harry Potter and the Cursed Child in London, which picks up where the last book’s epilogue left off: 19 years after the Battle of Hogwarts in the Second Wizarding War. The continuation of the beloved story, in the form of a stage play, paints a story of the next generation of Harry Potter characters and makes fans out of a whole new generation of young readers.

It’s Worth The Acclaim
  • Based on an original story by J.K. RowlingThe Cursed Child offers a different way to experience the wizarding world, as it was originally intended for the stage.
  • When performed on stage, The Cursed Child utilises incredible spells and enchantments, which will be some of the most mind-blowing special effects and magic you have ever seen performed on the stage. There’s nothing else quite like it.
  • Have you ever wondered what would happen if certain events from the original series took a different course? The Cursed Child explores exactly that.
  • In a true time-warped fashion, The Cursed Child is designed to be experienced in two parts. Which means double the magic, double the madness.
