Tina Turner was born Anna Mae Bullock and was raised in Nutbush Tennessee. In 1957, during the interval of a gig, the small-town girl with a whole lot of soul stepped up to the stage and out came a sound that would make rock history. From her humble beginnings to taking the throne as the Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll, Tina is one of the best-selling artists of all time and has sold more concert tickets than any other solo artist. TINA: The Tina Turner Musical is an ode to her life; to the highs and lows, her personal struggles, and all of her wonderful, thunderous classics.
The world had wished for a Tina Turner musical for decades, and the people’s prayers were answered. TINA: The Tina Turner musical tickets are some of the most in-demand tickets in the West End. Why? Because the Tina Turner Musical is simply the best!
Tina first made a name for herself in the 1960s, alongside her then-husband Ike Turner. She exploded onto the scene with hits such as ‘A Fool in Love’, ‘River Deep – Mountain High’, and ‘Proud Mary’. After her abusive marriage ended, Tina rebuilt her career and staged a major solo comeback in the mid-80s. In 1984, her fifth solo album, ‘Private Dancer’, became a global success. Her most popular songs include: ‘Let’s Stay Together’, ‘What’s Love Got to Do with It?’, ‘I Don’t Wanna Fight’, and ‘GoldenEye’, and when it comes to Tina, that’s just the tip of the iceberg.
Winner of eight Grammy Awards and numerous Billboard, American Music and MTV Music Video Awards, Tina Turner is internationally recognised as one of the most successful and influential female artists of the 21st century.
