Moulin Rouge! premiered on July 10, 2018 The musical premiered on July 10, 2018, at the Emerson Colonial Theatre in Boston. Moulin Rouge! opened on Broadway at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre, with previews starting on June 28, 2019, and officially opening on July 25. The musical officially debuted in the West End on January 20, 2022, with previews starting November 13, 2023.

This mash-up musical is so much more than a jukebox show and takes classic songs from the likes of world-renowned artists: David Bowie, Elton John, The Police, and Christina Aguilera. These popular pop songs are given a musical stamp that only increases their already massive repute! Songs that stand out and were made somewhat more iconic, if possible, by the Moulin Rouge! film are ‘Your Song’, ‘Come What May’, ‘Elephant Love Medley’ and ‘Nature Boy’. It’s quite simply hit after hit, and you can hear them all with Moulin Rouge! tickets.

It’s Worth The Acclaim
  • Moulin Rouge! Is the winner of 10 Tony Awards, including Best Musical.
  • Moulin Rouge! fits more than 70 songs in the show and they all feel essential. The non-stop party presents pop history at its finest, with an epic selection of mash-ups, covers, and original arrangements. From Madonna to David Bowie and Tina Turner – every legend fits the bill.
  • It’s a classic boy meets girl love story, but it’s never been told quite like this.
  • From the bold red letters and working windmills on the front of the theatre, to the set spilling out beyond the stage, with a tall red windmill spinning to your left and a large, partial elephant statue to your right, you’ll feel like you’re right in the heart of the Moulin Rouge with Satine and Christian.
